Treatment

Osteopathy

In Classical Osteopathy, your entire body is assessed and treated every time you see your therapist.  From your pelvis up to your head and down to your feet.  Treatments are tailored to you and may be different each and every time.  This is because functional changes made during one treatment will alter therapeutic findings as treatments progress and your body begins to return to homeostasis.

As a highly trained Osteopathic Manual Practitioner, I understand the relationship between the bones that support your body and the tissue that surround it, including your muscles, ligaments, lymphatics, organs, nerves and blood vessels.

Human bodies are made to move and restriction of motion anywhere in the body means that there is compensation elsewhere and this has a negative impact on health.

Osteopathic treatments help balance the body's systems by restoring motion to relieve pain, improve mobility, and stimulate the body's ability to heal itself.  It is based on the understanding that when one part doesn't work well, the others have to work harder.
